Well, I'm finally in blog mode again after such a long time.  Railey and Randan have grown so, in body and in mind.  Summer is here, and it seems like there's never enough for them not to be bored.  Since they love the whole idea of making videos, I saw it fitting to post this on my blog.  Such a talented, bright, and crafty young girl, my daughter...  Here she shows off her talents of clothing design, making and sewing.  She had one lesson about a year ago, and there was no stopping the creativity!

Another hot one in Georgia

Don't know about you, but I thought I was ready for spring, but apparantely summer came first.  It is blazing hot and oh, boy, the craft shed is entirely too hot to work in ALREADY. 


Several projects are entering my mind to attempt.. soooo...  next week I will begin to work some
with resin.  A couple of weeks ago, I attemped some cool rings..  the kiddo loved them!  Now, if only I could make one for me.  Only 7 more days of school left and the kids are going bonkers!  Hooray for summer vacation!!  We all need it.

Wow- Still seems as though my life has been a whirlwind. The kids and I had so much fun yesterday at Young Scientists Day. I am super proud of my little man and his team for winning first place in bridge building (with Kinects). I see a fine young engineer in his future.. or maybe a track star. We'll see. Well on my way to finishing their bathroom, too. I believe today will be the day. Then I can start our bedroom. Gawd~~ it needs it soooo bad.

Snow Daze

So I suppose my busy lifestyle has led me not to have blogged as much as I would have desired, but that's the way it goes when we are all going different directions. I am, however, particularly excited about what's been happening involving the weather here in Ga since Christmas. We had a beautiful blanket of snow Sunday night, and I don't think the city was prepared enough for this. So, sit back and enjoy this time lapse~

Wow-how time flies!

What an amazing amount of fulfillment I have had in my 10 years of marriage. I cannot begin to try and understand how 2 people can be so right for each other. We have bought a house together, had two wonderful children, and still have managed to find time to make a relationship work. Work, I say- it is hard work being a mom and a wife, but it is sooo.... worth it.

What a long week it's been. Summer seems to be crawling! I have been enjoying hanging out with the kids since they've been out of school, but this whininess and insistance on having things
RIGHT NOW is driving me up my tree. I am so ready for the crafting I have been craving.
I need a minute to slow down, take a breath and concentrate on my fourth decade of life. Wow- did I almost say the "f" word? Shhhh..... don't tell anyone...

Whilst thumbing through my emails I read a post from one of my fav foodie bloggers Pink of Perfection, and came across this give away. It brought back memories of myself and my parents cooking at home way back when I was attending college. Read it and I'm sure you'll be following her!

So, I guess its been a while since I have blogged. Amongst the many projects I have been working on, my writing has been lacking. I am almost finished pinning the fabric to the ottoman and chair I'm attempting to make a slipcover for. This has been an ultimate challenge especially since it's hard to keep the kiddos from jumping up and down on it. The pins don't seem to deter them:-

Having to go to Wally World yesterday was an interesting trip. I held a couple of conversations with ladies whom I didn't know, and some rather disturbing information was sent my way. Mmm... get ready for this: So, apparantely in the domestic section of the store there are baskets made of animal hair. That's right, not rawhide or anything like that, but animal hair. The kind woman at the fabric counter forlaid that to me. I'll have to remind myself to look the next time I'm there. I told her I have heard of people saving cat hair and felting it, but how on earth does one make a basket out of it??

Another one of those things which makes you go hmmm....

Here's something I've been thinking about for a while now. It's really easy to do, but takes patience. I will post instructions when the finished product is revealed!

I thought since I got this low flow shower head free from our

local water authority, I'd attempt to install it myself.

AND

since I got this lovely set of tools from Santa, I'd even do

it with my own stuff, Yea for me!!

Now, if I can figure out how all these work!!!

Off to find something else to tool with. I soon will see what the air compressor and nail gun will do:)

So I am finally gearing up to start blogging again. I had a blog a few years ago, but lost it the confines of google. Here's my attempt at a new beginning. New year= new beginnings, right?

Today lends itself for healthy eating. My kids have taken this approach today as well. We should all feel great for the dreaded 1st day back to school tomorrow. 6:30 AM ~oh boy how early!
